Mangalore, Feb 5: Justice B.K Somasekhar, head of the commission inquiring in to the attacks on churches and prayer halls in 2bylinebyline8, warned to initiate contempt proceedings against responsible police officials, if they failed to depute suitable officials. Since one year and nine month, the commission has been conducting inquiry.

Expressing displeasure against police cooperation into the attacks, he asked the police officials about happenings pertaining to church attack investigation and sought senior official’s immediate deputation to assist police advocate, M. Narayana Reddy. If they fail to do this, it would be taken as a hindrance to the smooth operation of the commission he said.

Reacting Mr. Reddy’s statement, regarding not heeding for his request, Somasekar said that, ‘If police official is helpless, what will be the fate of common man?’ This is the second time that the commission is reacting against the absence of police officials
