Christmas message from Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru diocese

Mangaluru, Dec 23, 2017: Bishop of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza  spreads the Christmas message as Family Bonding - bringing minds and hearts together in an everlasting bonding.

 

Addressing the  press at Bishop’s House today  he said - May Christmas spread the peace and love among all the communities in the country. Jesus Christ was born in a manger in a small village named Bethlehem to mother Mary and St Joseph . They were poor but leading a Holy life. Hence our families must inculcate the virtues of the Holy Family.  Christmas, is thus not just celebrating the birthday of Christ but also a day to remember his sacrifices for his religion in particular and mankind in general.

The celebrations aim at spreading the message of love and brotherhood propagated by Jesus Christ. It reflects God’s great love for mankind. The teachings of Jesus are relevant even to this day. This gives true meaning for the celebration of Christmas.

A bag with Christmas cake and Kuswar was distributed to the all who were the part of the function by  Bishop.

Msgr Denis Moras, Prabhu-Vicar general, Chancellor Fr Henry Sequeira, Fr William Menezes-PRO, Marcel Monteiro and others were present on the occassion.
