Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2016: Konkan Overseas Returnees’ Welfare Association (KORWA), held their annual event, ‘Christmas celebrations 2016’ at the Loyola Hall Kodialbail Dec 10,  Saturday, and invited all those who are ignored by society. This the 6th year it is organising this humane tradition with entertainment – songs, music, dance, fun and games followed by dinner.

Speaking to all present on the occasion MLA, J R Lobo said that it was an event that made him happy to see. He said he was over joyed that KORWA is following the teachings of Christ, celebrating Christmas in a very meaningful way for the downtrodden. His life was for others. Christmas is not joyful dinner, Christmas is not dancing Merry, but it is loving and serving others, a messeng of good and peace.

Children, as well as elders, enjoyed the Christmas Celebrations with Christmas carols, songs, dance etc from the children of various institutions and mimicry by Sharan Kaikamba. Children were thrilled at Santa’s arrival.

Vaibhav D’Souza and Sharon Serrao compered the programme. Parish Priest of Bendur Church Antony Serrao, Rev. Santhosh Kamath of Fatima Retreat House, Rohan Monteiro, KORWA vice president Elias Sanctis, David D’Souza were present among others.
