Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy launch ’Brand Mangaluru’ and ‘Journalists’ Grama Vastavya

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2018:  TChief Minister H D Kumaraswamy launched ’Brand Mangaluru’ and ‘Journalists’ Grama Vastavya’ programme conceived by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union, Mangaluru Press Club and Pathrika Bhavan trust at TMA Pai Hall here on Sunday, October 14.

After launching the program, CM, Kumaraswamy said that the concept is very good and that his government will extend all support for the success of the program. “Mangalore has all potential to grow and prosper. It is already well established centre for Education and healthcare. Some sporadic incident has tarnished the image of the city in the past which can be rectified in the course time if everyone genuinely works for it”, he said.

Srinivas Indaje, President of DK working journalists’ union said, "The ‘Brand Mangaluru’ concept came to my mind few years back and our union decided to take up the program this year.” Our idea is to reach out to the people and expedite development process with the support of the Government. He has also expressed various grievances of the journalist.


The Chief Minister said the state government would extend all possible aid to all schemes aimed at the welfare of the journalists. He said the  Government would consider the appeal made by the  journalists association and assured that it would respond positively. A sum of Rs 51,000 contributed by  journalists of DK District was handed over to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on the occasion.
