Chennai cyclone: Several trains cancelled including Maveli Express

Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2016: The Southern Railway has cancelled 18 trains including those running through Kerala due to Cyclone Vardah. The Mangalore- Thiruvananthapuram Maveli express has also been cancelled. The Chennai Mail which goes from Chennai to Mangaluru,  later conducts the service to Thiruvananthapuram as Maveli Express. As the Chennai Mail did not arrive on Tuesday, the Maveli Express was cancelled.

The train services having rake links with the regulated train services have also been affected, as mentioned below:


1.    CANCELLATION OF TRAINS
a)     The service of Train No.12686 Mangaluru-Chennai Superfast which is scheduled to leave Chennai Central on 13/12/2016, has been cancelled

b)     The service of Train No.22638 Mangaluru-Chennai West Coast Express which is scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central on 13/12/2016, has been cancelled

c)     The service of Train No.16603 Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram Maveli Express which is scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central on 13/12/2016, has been cancelled.


d)     The service of Train No.16525 Kanyakumari-KSR Bengaluru City Express, scheduled to leave Kanyakumari on 13/12/2016(Tuesday), has been fully cancelled

e)     The service of Train No.06051 Chennai Egmore-Kollam Special train which is scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore on 13/12/2016, has been cancelled


2.    RESCHEDULED TRAINS
a)     The service of Train No.12601 Chennai-Mangaluru Mail, which is scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 20.20 hours on 12/12/2016, has been rescheduled and this train will now leave only at 22.00 hours on the same day.


b)     The service of Train No.12623 Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram Mail, which is scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 19.45 hours on 12/12/2016, has been rescheduled and this train will now leave only at 21.30 hours on the same day.

c)     The service of Train No.22639 Chennai-Alapuzha Express, which is scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hours on 12/12/2016, has been rescheduled and this train will now leave only at 22.30 hours on the same day.

 
3.    DIVERTED TRAINS
a)     The service of Train No.13352 Alapuzha-Dhanbad/Bokaro Express, which is scheduled to leave Alapuzha on 12/12/2016(Tuesday), has been diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta and will not touch Chennai Central

b)     The service of Train No.22648 Thiruvananthapuram-Korba Express, which is scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central on 12/12/2016(Tuesday), has been diverted via Katpadi, Melpakkam and Renigunta and will not touch Chennai Central

c)     The service of Train No.12511 Gorakhpur-Thiruvananthapuram Express, which left Gorakhpur on 11/12/2016(Monday), has been diverted via Renigunta, Melpakkam and will not touch Chennai Central
