Chandrayan-2 cannot be considered failure: Dr Kasturirangan

Mangaluru, Sept 29, 2019: Renowned space scientist and former chairman of ISRO Dr Kasturi Rangan has said that the Chandrayan-2 was a very complex mission and that  the last minute  hurdle that arose when Vikram lander was about to reach its target, cannot be considered a failure.

Speaking during the second day’s session of ICS 2019 organised by Association of Spine Surgeons of India in association with Canara Orthopedic Society and Spine Chapter of Karnataka orthopedic Association at TM A Pai Convention Hall here on September 28, Saturday he said lessons can be learnt from every hurdle and much more could be achieved in the future. Dr Kasturirangan even spoke about the ISRO Aditya-2020 scheme aimed at studying the sun.
