Central Excise & GST Commissionerate distribute ration kits to needy residing around Thanneerbavi

Mangaluru, April 8, 2020: The officers of Mangaluru Central GST Commissionerate, Customs, DRI, DGGI, and the retired officers of CBIC from Mangalore, under the aegis of Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, Karnataka COVID group came together, on 8th April, 2020 to provide the much needed help to the poor and the needy residing around Thanneerbavi locality amid the nationwide lockdown due to COVID 19 outbreak, as part of their social responsibility.

The officers, under the guidance and active involvement of Baswaraj Nalegave, Commissioner of Customs and Imamuddin Ahmad, Commissioner of Central Excise & Central Tax, distributed dry ration kits that included grocery items consisting of boiled rice, dosa rice, cooking oil, tea and sugar to 115 needy families residing at the above locality while maintaining social distancing, said a release.
