Mangaluru, June 05 2018: Udupi- Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that the party activists were unnecessarily being targeted in the Jokatte cattle trader Husainabba unnatural death case at the behest of the state government .
Speaking to reporters at the party office here on June 5, Tuesday, she said the activists were not responsible for the attack." They had only done their duty by tipping off the police regarding the cattle smuggling. The activists had handed over Husainabba to the police. He had died on way to the station in the police vehicle. There is a need to find if he had died of heart atack or if he had any health issues. The forensic report must be placed before the public," Shobha demanded and alleged that the police were responsible for his death.
She also stated that the BJP would protest in front of the DC office on June 6.
