Cattle trader death case : 4 right wing activists arrested

Udupi, June 01, 2018 :  Udupi District Superintendent of Police Lakshman Nimbargi has informed that four persons have been arrested in connection with the case of suspicious death of a cattle trader  named Husainabba (62) who hailed from Jokatte in Mangaluru. It has been alleged that Husainabba died in an attack by Bajrangdal activists at Seenabettu in Perdoor.

Those arrested are Suresh Mendon alias Soori, a VHP leader of Udupi and Bajrangdal activists Prasad Kondady, Umesh Shetty and Ratan. Suresh and Prasad were arrested in Ballary while Umesh and Ratan were arrested in Udupi.  All the four had gone underground following the  incident.

The post mortem report of Husainabba will reveal if he was murdered. The report was expected by this evening or tomorrow, investigations are in progress, said Nimbargi.
