Cattle theft case, two arrested

Mangaluru, Apr 05, 2018: The Konaje police on April 4, Wednesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in the theft of a cow from the Amurthadhara Goshala in Kairangala on March 29 this year.

arrested.Rajaram Bhat from the Goshala filed a complaint with the Konaje police accusing three persons of forcibly entering the place rearing rare cattle breeds on March 29 and taking away one cow. Alleging a threat to his life and seeking the arrest of the accused,  Bhat started a hunger strike on April 1. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajarang Dal activists joined him in the protest.

The police on April 4,  Wednesday arrested Monacha and Basheer, both from Kasaragod, Kerala. The two had reportedly received the stolen cow.
