Cattle theft: Fast-unto-death at Gaushale

Bantwal, Apr 02, 2018  : Calling for immediate action against cattle thieves, who stole cattle from Amrithadhara Gaushale, at Kairangala, in the last two days, the Gaushale (protective shelters for cows) head has launched a fast-unto-death strike on April 1, Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Gaushale head Y G Rajaram Bhat said that the miscreants entered inside the Gaushale and took away cattle in an inhuman manner. On the direction of Sri Raghaveshwara Swamiji, local committee was formed to start the Gaushale. The cattle are not reared for commercial purpose in these protective shelters.

Stolen thrice  :  Already cattle from the gaushale have been stolen thrice in the past. By fasting, a social campaign has been initiated. “We want the accused to be arrested at the earliest. The fast will be continued till the strict action is initiated against the culprits,” he said.

The thieves on Friday had entered inside the Amrithadhara Gaushale and took away a cattle by wielding talwars at the youths, who were present at the venue. A case was registered in Konaje police station in this regard.
