Catholic Sabha demand arrest of accused for assaulting Principal

Mangaluru, Oct 21, 2016: Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh president Anil Lobo demanded to arrest the accused within three days for assaulting Milagres College Principal.

Addressing press at Hotel Woodland today October 21 , he said that if Police failed to detain the accused in three days Catholic Sabha will hold stir by closing schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod.


When Fr Micheal Santhumayor was on his way to lunch student named Mohammed Shahnawaz assaulted  him. There are act for the safety of children but there is no such act for the safety of teachers and government should enforce the act, he added.


Short Tempered student


Mohammed Shahnawaz is known for his short tempered attitude. So far nearly 18 allegations were against him from past two years. He was using abusive words for the lecturers and to their parents and also he tore attendance register book for which he was suspended for two days.
