Car driver booked for death of scooterist in mishap

Mangaluru, Oct 6,2017 :  In a welcome move, the  Mangaluru North Traffic Police have booked a  car driver under Section 304 of the IPC  for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, for causing an accident that claimed the life of a scooterist.

The accident took  place on October 4 at Tannirbavi Road. The car driver Sushvith (25) who was under the influence of alcohol was driving at great speed and was also on the wrong side of the road in the process hitting against the scooter  and dragging the scooterist on the road upto a little distance.

The body of the scooterist Anil Kumar (30) of Bokkapatna was completely crushed in the mishap.
