Car crashes with KSRTC bus near Nelyadi, B’luru man dead

Mangaluru, June 20, 2016 : According to Uppinangady police, a 40-year-old man from Anekal, near Bengaluru, died and four of his family members were injured after the four-wheeler they were travelling in to Mangaluru collided with a KSRTC bus near Nelyadi in Uppinangady police station limits on June 19, Sunday.

Ashok Reddy (40) and his family were on their way to Mangaluru to meet a relative studying in a college in the city. At Kolpe near Nelyadi, their vehicle collided with the Mangaluru-Bengaluru KSRTC bus. The police said that the bus hit the four-wheeler while overtaking another vehicle.

The police said that Ashok died on the spot. The injured persons, including Muniyamma (55), were admitted to a private hospitals.  The accident brought the traffic on the highway to a standstill. Uppinangady police registered a case.
