Car accident in Kukkudakatte; two critical. Suspected to be a drunken driving case

Mangaluru, March 5, 2016: In a freak mishap, a group of five medical students driving in a car from Derlakatte towards Mangaluru met with a gruesome mishap at Kukkudakatte near KSHEMA College at about 8.40 pm. The condition of two is said to be critical.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The students hailing from Kerala were reportedly in an inebriated state when their Honda City car bearing Kerala registration number KL 13 Q 9696 hit an electric pole.

They had left the ’Meeting Point Bar’ minutes before the mishap occurred. The police said that one of the student, Verghese was driving the vehicle from his college towards Kuttar. Verghese lost control over the car and hit an electricity pole around 8 p.m.  Alcoholic drink was found in the car.   Konaje police are investigating.
