Candle Santhu murder case : 2 held guilty

Mangaluru, July 20, 2018:  The Fourth Additional Sessions Court here   has pronounced two persons as guilty in the Candle Santhu murder  case reported from Polali in 2009.

 

Candle Santhu ...Those convicted are Iqbal from Bunder and Farooq from Banglegudde. The quantum of punishment is expected to be announced today.

Candle Santhu who was associated with the Polali Ananthu  gang was hacked to death on February 18, 2009 when he was sitting near his house.


Santhu was murdered at a time when he was  recuperating at home following a  leg fracture in an accident.

 A total of 12 persons were named accused in the case. Of them Madoor Isubu  was murdered in prison whole Madoor Ismail  had died of heart attack.


Another accused Sulaiman alias Khader from Kukkundur was murdered at Karkala while Muhammed Kabir from Vamanjoor was killed  at Vamanjoor. Three other accused Abbas Bantwal, Isac Bantwal  and Habeed are yet to be arrested.
