Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2018: Dakshina Kannada District Committee of the Campus Front of India staged a protest at Vamanjoor on January 3, Wednesday to condemn the vigilante attack by the Parivar activists on college students at Pilikula Nisargadhama on Tuesday.
While pointing out that the police had arrested only three of the accused, the CFI demanded that nine others who are involved in the case too should be arrested and Gooda Act be invoked against them.
The protestors also threatened to stage a black flag demonstration against the Chief Minister during his visit to the city on January 7 if the police failed to take action against all perpetrators of the attack. The protestors alleged that the statement of the Gurupur Vajradehi Swami had instigated the act and urged the government to take serious cognizance of the same.CFI District President Mohammad Athavulla, State Committee Member Mohammad Riyaz, Mohammad Irshad Kavu and others spoke on the occasion.
