CWG medallists Pradeep Acharya and Rithwik Alevooraya recieves a warm welcome at MIA

Mangaluru, Sep 25, 2019: Two  Power lifters from Mangaluru Pradeep Acharya and Rithvik Alevooraya K V along with their coach Satheesh Kumar Kudroli have recieved a warm welcome with garlands at Mangaluru International Airport.

 

 

 

 

The duo  have bagged a total of three gold medals in the Commonwealth Benchpress Powerlifting Championship held  at St John’s Canada on September 17 and 18.

Pradeep Acharya won gold in the 83 kg senior division by lifting a total weight of 210 kg. He is trained at Balanjaneya Gymnasium. 

Rithvik Alevooraya K V, a student of Sahyadri Engineering College  clinched two golds in the 83 kg sub-junior category under the ’Equipped’ and ’Classic’ sections.

Ex-Corporator Roopa Bangera, Ramakrishna Rao, Nivedatha Shetty, athlete’s parents and other enthusiasts were present to welcome the players.
