CRZ Violation: Houses Demolished at Someshwara

Mangalore, Nov 5: Fourteen illegally constructed houses at Someshwara on CRZ  are demolished by the district authority today Thursday November 5. These houses had been constructed in Someshwara area by different people as beach Guest houses. Most of them are living in Mumbai and other places. These houses are constructed only for the purpose of making money and fun. They are let out for fun and party at the rate of Rs 5000 per day.

The entire operation was supervised by Ponnuraj, Deputy Commissioner, Prabhulinga Kavalkatte, Assistant Commissioner and A S Rao, Superintendent of police. The operation started at 6.30 am.

 

 

 

Three of the houses to be demolished have got stay order from the court. Those houses occupied by people are told to vacate immiediately. One of the occupants among them is identified  as Kamala.
