Mangaluru, Feb 23, 2017 : Members of the CPI(M) took out a protest march in Thokkottu on February 23, Thursday in protest against the incident wherein the party office at Thokkottu was vandalised and set afire by some miscreants on Wednesday night. The protestors demanded that those responsible for the incident should be immediately arrested.
Party leader Sunil Kumar Bajal who was also part of the protest march, said there was a need for the Police Department to deal with the perpetrators of the act with an iron hand. Claiming that the Communal Harmony Rally scheduled to be held on February 25 has got good response he alleged that the Sangh Parivar organisations have given a call for a voluntary bundh that day in an act of desperation.
He further stated that the administration has assured adequate security arrangements for the programme.
