CPI(M) stages protest demanding food to poor during lockdown

Mangaluru, July 15, 2020:    Leaders and members of the CPI(M) staged a demonstration in the city on July 15, Wednesday demanding provision of food to the  people during lockdown and free treatment to the Covid-19 patients.

 

 

Muneer Katipalla, DYFI State President who  addressed the protestors said the poor who have already been hit hard due to the previous lockdown, will be in for more trouble during the ensuing lockdown. The district administration must provide food kits to the poor people, he said.

He also urged the government to regulate the private hospitals which, he said  are  charging exorbitantly  for Corona treatment.

District CPI(M) Secretariat Board Member J Balakrishna Shetty, city unit Secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal, Party leaders Jayanthi B Shetty and others participated in the protest.
