CPI (M) activists walk for peace on September 24

Mangalore, Sep 22: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) organized a Souharda Nadige (walk for harmony) for peace on September 24, the day on which the Allahabad High Court will declare its final verdict on the Ayodhya issue. The walk commenced at Town Hall and ended at DC’s Office on September 22, Wednesday.

District Secretary of CPI (M) B. Madhava called upon Hindu and Muslim leaders to respect the verdict of the court, maintain peace, and resolve their differences through respectful dialogue. He added that religious and social leaders have decided to maintain peace and law and order on that day and respect the court’s verdict, irrespective of whether it is in their favor or not.

He urged citizens to calmly accept the court’s verdict and cooperate with social and religious leaders in maintaining peace and harmony. He also warned them against taking rumours seriously.

J Balakishna Shetty, Lokayya, Shriyan, Yadav Shetty, Yashawanth Maroli, Advocate B. M. Bhat, Advocate Jeevan, Muneer Katipalla, and B. M. Madhava participated in the walk.
