COVID-19: Karnataka reports 271 new cases, 7 deaths in the last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Jun 12, 2020: Wtih 271 fresh coronavirus cases in Karnataka continued to see a substantial hike on June 12,  Friday.  As well as the state recorded the highest number of fatalities recorded in a day.

 

The state tally goes to 6,516 with 79 COVID-19 deaths. According to the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, seven patients succumbed to the infection, four among them from Bengaluru.

All the fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours have been linked to either Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) or Influenza-like Illness (ILI), and are among people aged 48 and above.
