CMC officials raid shops; seize 81 kg banned plastic

Udupi, Nov 10, 2023: A team of CMC officials raided a few shops at Adi Udupi market area and seized 81 kg of banned plastic. A fine of Rs 12,400 was imposed on them.

 

The Udupi CMC commissioner in a press communique has said the CMC team would conduct surprise raids and anyone found using the banned plastic items will face action including cancellation of business license.

The CMC has also asked public to use steel plates and glasses at public functions.
