CM to inaugurate Varahi first phase May 4

Mangaluru, May 2, 2015: A press release said  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is visiting Udupi district on May 4.  He  would arrive by a helicopter at the Karnataka Power Corporation helipad at Hosangady in Kundapur taluk at 11.30 a.m. on May 4.


cm He will inaugurate the first phase of the Varahi Irrigation Project at a function organised by the Karnataka Neeravari Nigama at Government High School Grounds at Siddapura at 11.50 a.m. 


M.B. Patil, Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation, would preside over the inaugural function.


V. Srinivas Prasad, Revenue Minister, B. Ramanath Rai, Forests and Environment Minister, and Vinay Kumar Sorake, Urban Development Minister, would also participate in the function. 

Later, CM  Siddaramaiah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the Advanced Science Research Centre of Mangaluru University at Belapu near Kaup at 2.10 p.m.   The Chief Minister would then leave Belapu for Bengaluru at 3.30 p.m.
