Speaking to reporters here on January 12, Friday, he  said BJP and the Hindu outfits are known for their patriotic spirit and that they are not traitors. He also wanted to know why the CM targeted the BJP and the  Parivar outfits instead of speaking about  his Government’s  works at the Moodbidri convention.

He charged the CM of pursuing an anti-Hindu stance. Puranik further  alleged that the government which stopped Kollur Temple funds for the mid-day meal of Kalladka Sri Rama School and also did not allow supply of Kollur food for the Udupi Dharma Sansad had  managed to arrange the temple food for the CM’s  Sadhana Samavesh.

Earlier, the VHP and Bajrangdal leaders met  Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy who is in the city, at the Commissioner’ office and submitted a memorandum seeking steps to end Love Jihad and cattle smuggling.
