CM announces Rs 5 lakh compensation to family of Dengue victim scribe Nagesh Padu

Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2019: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of  Journalist Nagesh Padu who recently succumbed to Dengue fever.

 

 

 

Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of the DK District Working Journalists’ Union had submitted a memorandum seeking compensation during the CM’s visit to the district on August 12, Monday. The CM immediately responded to the appeal and announced the compensation.

 Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others were present on the occasion.
