CM Yediyurappa arrives, says tackling flood situation top priority

Mangaluru, Aug 12, 2019: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport on August 12, Monday   to take stock of the flood situation in various parts of the district.

Speaking to media men at the airport, he said as at the moment, tackling the flood situation was the top most priority of the state government. He said the state has suffered loss of property worth Rs 40,000 crores in the floods and added that he had sought Rs 3,000 crore assistance from the Centre as an immediate measure.

Yediyurappa also stated that the cabinet expansion would be made after August 15 and that he will leave for Delhi on August 16 to discuss the issue with national leaders.
