CM Siddaramaiah to inaugurate Vishwa Tuluvere Parba on Dec 12

Mangalore, Oct 27, 2014: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the  Vishwa Tuluvere Parba to be held at the Sahyadri Engineering  College campus at Adyar  from December 12 to 14 under the aegis of the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy.

 

This was informed to reporters here on October 27, Monday by B Ramanatha Rai, District in-charge Minister and President of the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba Committee.

Rai informed that a host of programmes aimed at  promoting Tulu culture,traditions and literature will be organised as part of the Parba. A variety of sports events including the   Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty memorial  Tulunada Kabaddi tournament  will also be held.

In all 20 teams from all over the state will take part in a Tulu cultural contest named “Tuluvere Siri” to be held on the occasion, the Minister informed.

Several other programmes including Tulunada Vaibhava, Tulu Kala Siri. Tulu musical nite and a food fest will be organised, he stated.

Kadri Navaneetha Shetty, Convenor of the Programme said Tuluvas from across the state, nation and globe will take part in the event.

 M Janaki Brahmavar, President of Tulu Academy, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President of Publicity Committee, Leelaksha Karkera, Convenor, Damodar Nisarga, Ratna Kumar, MB Puranik and others  were present.
