CID to probe case of alleged sexual assault on minor by school van driver

Mangaluru, May 16, 2015:  The case of alleged sexual assault on a minor girl by  the school van driver, which was reported from Ullal police station limits, has been entrusted to the CID by the state government.

The incident had taken place on March 13.The accused driver  has already been arrested  and has been remanded to judicial custody.

City Police Commissioner S Murugan  said the state government has issued the orders four days ago as per his suggestion.

Mangaluru women’s police station inspector is presently investigating the case which had caused much uproar and had even sparked protests by various organisations which had  urged for strict action against the school.
