CHD Group with Mennabettu Panchayat holds medical camp

Mangaluru, June 24, 2018: City based CHD Group along with Mennabettu Grama Panchayat held a medical camp on June 23, Saturday. In spite of heavy rains, about 85 patients were treated, counselled and referred to hospitals. School children in the government schools were examined for health needs.  CHD Group along with National Health Mission and ONGC-MRPL have been conducting their flagship medical missions along with Panchayati Raj Institutions in Mangaluru Rural. Earlier,  it was done at religious locations like temples and churches and so on.

CHD Group has been working at the grass-root level and also engaging in policy discussion at global levels to build the bridges  CHD Group has been working with Government Departments, United Nation Agencies, Public Sector Units, Corporate partners, select visionary academic institutions in different regions of the country in improving health indicators and building public health risk reduction strategies.

Professor Clarence Miranda, retired principal of Pompei College has been instrumental in facilitating the exercise. Dr. Rachit Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Kini, Dr. Edmond Fernandes, Cynthia and Rickson were others present from CHD Group.  Sarojini, Grama Panchayat President along with ward members were present during the medical mission. Wenlock District Hospital and District Health and Family Welfare Office are the district level government partners.
