Bus- bike collision claims young rider’s life at Konaje

Mangaluru, June 13, 2019: A young bike rider lost his life in a collision between his two-wheeler and a private bus near Thiblapadavu in Konaje police station limits on June 13, Thursday morning.

 

The deceased is Harshith Shetty (20). He hailed from Devinagar, Kamblapadavu and was one of the twin children of Pajeer Gram Panchayat Member Sujatha Shetty.

Harshith who worked as an AC technician in Mangaluru was on way to Mangaluru from his house when  the accident took place.  Eyewitnesses said the bus was trying to overtake another vehicle and in the process hit the bike. Harshith died on the spot.

Though Harshith had purchased a new bike recently, he however had chosen to ride a friend’s bike  this morning.
