Bunder illegal scrap dealers raided and cleared by MCC

Mangalore, Sep 13, 2014: The team of MCC - Mangalore City Corporation,  health officials force ably raided illegal nad unlicensed scrap shops in the Bibi Alabi Road, Bunder on September 12.

The responsible MCC health officer said that scrap shops had come up illegally  in the public area and their owners did not possess a  license.  He also assured that there was no question of the shops returning again.  The department  would carry out similar drive to make Mangalore a healthy city, he added.

"We are going to have public toilets in these areas. The scrap shops were a nuisance as the shop owners were throwing scrap materials all over the place which was creating problems for the citizens," he said. During the raid, shop owners took all their merchandise in vehicles. There were a few spare parts of cars, which the MCC confiscated.  The MCC team headed by senior health inspector,  under the direction of health officer effectively conducted the operation it will be good for the city to have free roads in vital areas soon.
