Brahmavar : Ex DySP BJ Bhandary dies in tragic road mishap

Udupi, June 02, 2015: Retired DySP Belthangady Jaya Bhandary (66) who was known as BJ Bhandary lost his life  when a speeding Wagon R knocked him down while he was about to cross a  road  near Mahesh Hospital in Brahmavar on June 1, Monday.

Bhandary had   been to Brahmavar along with Rama Bhandary to  attend a wedding in the town when tragedy struck. Though Bhandari was immediately rushed to Mahesh Hospital and later shifted to KMC Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

The car driver Abdul Rahim has been arrested by the police. His car was heading towards Kundapur from Udupi .

Brahmavar Police have registered a case.
