Brahmavar: Bus-Truck Collision, 10 injured and 1 dead

Brahmavar, Oct 3, 2015: A 24-year-old woman was tragically killed after being hit by a fish laden lorry near Mabukala bridge in Brahmavar. The accident that took place on October 3 Saturday morning, after a collision between a fish laden lorry and a private bus at Mabukala bridge bus stand in Brahmavar.

 

In the accident 10 passengers were inured and three of them said to be critical. The deceased is identified as Merita D’Silva(23). She was working as a clerk at SMS College in Brahmavar.

The eyewitnesses state that the bus had stopped for boarding passengers at the Mabukala Bridge bus stand. As people were getting into the bus, a fish laden lorry approaching from behind rammed into the bus. The intensity of the collision was such that Meritta who had just boarded the bus was thrown out and died on the spot. Many passengers were injured in the accident and three are said to be critical.

Brahmavar police is investigating the case.
