Boy drowns in quarry pit at Adyar Padavu

Mangaluru, July 09, 2018: In  a tragic incident, a 13 year old boy met a watery grave in a stone quarry pit at Adyar Padavu on July 8, Sunday evening.

The deceased is Tameem. It is learnt the mishap took place when Tameem had been to swim along with his friends.

His body was retrieved on Monday.

Following the incident, locals protested against the authorities alleging that no action was taken against illegal quarries.
