Boscoss Tutorials conducts career guidance programme; honours outstanding students

Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2015: Boscoss Tutorials, one of the leading and prestigious coaching centres for PUC students as well as students aspiring to appear for CET and other competitive exams,  organised a  career guidance programme for Second PUC  students  in the city.  Outstanding Boscoss students were also felicitated on the occasion.

Inaugurating the programme, Ram Mohan Pai Maroor, President of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Director of Maroor Group of Companies said the modern day students need to have a clear-cut goal, vision,  discipline and ambition to succeed in this competitive world.

Students should realise their potential as well as limitations before placing their  foot forward, he said. ’’The life of a student is filled with anxiety and a number of fears including the fear of whether he could make it to a good institution, the fear whether he could score good marks and the fear whether he could get a good job,’’ Pai said adding   the modern students are also lucky enough as they have ample opportunities before them. ’’What is required of the students is hard work and  the will power to succeed,’’ he added.

Prof. Norbert Lobo, Lecturer in Economics in St Aloysius College, was the Chief Resource Person.  Outstanding old students of Boscoss who are now  pursuing engineering courses in different streams at  NIT-K Suratkal and  those who are undergoing MBBS courses at Fr Muller Medical College, also participated as resource persons to guide aspiring students.

 Boscoss students who have  excelled in State PU Board Exams, competitive exams like CET and JEE Mains during the year 2014-15 were  honoured by presenting them with gold coins and certificates in the presence of their parents.

Responding to the felicitation conferred on them, the students attributed their success to Boscoss Tutorials.

 Prof. SS Bosco, Chief of Boscoss Coaching Centre in his introductory remarks said  the quality  coaching  and guidance provided to students at Boscoss Tutorials has helped the students of Boscoss to secure admissions  to various prestigious professional colleges in the state.

 He also spoke about the  objectives and future plans of Boscoss Tutorials and gave some useful tips to students pertaining to CET and JEE Mains exams.
