On Monday health officials accompanied by police personnel had started screening passengers at the entry points at Talapady, Nettanige Mudnur, Menala, Saradka and Jalsoor and prevented  those who did not have the negative reports . This had  inconvenienced many including students.

At one point the officials even restricted  vehicles from the district from entering Kerala. This even led to a protest.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Secretary B Subbayya Rai has even moved the Karnataka High Court alleging that the DK District administration’s rule was in contravention to the unlock rules of the Centre.
