Boliyar resident tests positive after returning home from quarantine

Mangaluru, May 31, 2020: A resident of Boliyar who had returned from Mumbai and was sent home from  the quarantine  centre recently,  has tested positive for Coronavirus, creating  panic among residents of his area.

It has been gathered that the  authorities had sent him home from the quarantine centre at Derlakatte even before his test results were out.

However, his report turned out positive on  May 31, Saturday following which he has been admitted to the Wenlock Covid-19 Hospital. It has been gathered that he had visited several places after he returned home.

The district administration on Sunday declared the area of Kapikad, Boliyar village as a containment zone.
