Body of drowned Bangalore student traced at Mulur seashore

Udupi, Aug 06, 2014:  The body of a youth from Bangalore who was reported drowned while making merry with his friends at the Kaup Beach on Sunday was  found on the sea shore at Mulur on August 5, Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Shivaprasad  (22)  son of Yoganand from BTM Layout in Bangalore.The mishap had occurred when Shivaprasad  along with his three friends namely Lohith Kumar, Manoj Kumar and Shivaraj Aras were on a visit to the Kaup beach. It is learnt, they had ventured into the sea despite warning from the locals about the high tide.  If Shivaprasad could not be traced, his friends who were drowning were rescued by locals.

It is learnt, Shivaprasad was an engineering student  at a college in Bangalore and was working  for a software firm during his free time.

His family was at the beach since Sunday in search of him. Meanwhile, locals have expressed anguish over the failure of the authorities to appoint life guards at the beach.
