Body found in quarry at Kandavar identified as son of Zubair, hawala accused

Mangalore, June 14, 2014: News reports state that Saifulla (19) identified as the son of Zubair, arrested by the Bihar police in connection with hawala racket in 2013, with links to Pakistan, died in a stagnant pool of water in a quarry at Kandavar, Kaikamba here on June 14. Sources however point out that the water was not deep enough for  a person to drown and murder by some person/s is not ruled out. Bajpe police have booked a case and investigations have been instituted.

Zubair and Aysha Banu, said to be his first wife and residents at Panjimogaru, had been arrested some months ago by the Bihar police on charges of being part of a hawala racket sourced from Pakistan, it may be recalled. Currently, both are in the custody of Chhattisgarh police.

Saifulla is the son of Zubair’s second wife it is stated. A second son, from Aysha his first wife is also said to be ill as reported on this web site earlier. Recently, the Chattisgarh police had sent a notice to Mangalore police informing about the minor boy’s sickness. Kavoor police, found the family house in Panjimogaru locked and so pasted the notice on the door of the house.
