Boat catches fire at Malpe Port

Udupi, Jan 03, 2018: A Purse-seine boat named Himalaya which was anchored at the Malpe Port has suffered damage in a fire mishap on January 2, Tuesday morning,

 

No one was injured in the mishap. It s said the boat caught fire when the fishermen were cooking inside.

Fire tender vehicles rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. The loss has been estimated at several lakhs of rupees.

A case has been registered in Male police station.
