Blacklisted company awarded contract for Yettinahole project, alleges Shobha

Udupi, Dec 13, 2016 :  Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that a blacklisted company has been awarded the contract for Yettinahole Project.

Speaking to reporters at the BJP office here she said  pipes for the project have been purchased by paying a staggering Rs 4000 crores. "Irregularities are also happening in case of the Steel bridge project in Bengaluru. The Congress elected representatives are resorting to corruption in order to garner commission, she alleged.

On the need for simplification of CRZ regulations, she said a meeting of all MPs of Coastal Karnataka region has been held in Delhi to discuss the issue. On the  Shailesh Nayak Committee report on CRZ which has been submitted to the Centre, Shobha said if the Kerala government has submitted a scientific study report, the Karnataka Government had failed to do so.

Rs 250 cr aid for road works : Shobha informed that a sum of Rs 250 crores has been released  under the CRF for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Constituency by Union Minister Gadkari.

Referring to  demonetization, while admitting that it has created some problems for the poor and middle class people, Shobha said it has also put a brake to terror funding and Naxal activities  as well as fake note printing activities.

"In Karnataka  the new notes released by the RBI reached the influential minister and their aides while the poor waited in queues," she alleged.
