Bison, which created panic in Mangaluru, dies

Mangaluru, May 05, 2020:   A bison tranquilised by forest officials, after it had strayed to the heart of the city, met a tragic end on Tuesday evening.

The bison was tranquillised and later released it in Charmady Ghats. It is now alleged that overdose of the tranquilliser might have caused the death.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The bison was spotted roaming royally near the Mannagudda warehouse sending locals into a jitter.  The police department was soon informed and they in turn sought the help of the Forest department.

The animal was trapped after it was given a shot of tranquiliser. Forest department says that the bison was collapsed and breathed its last after it was released near a watering hole in Charmady Ghat.
