Bike rider dies hit by a truck at Padil

Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2018: A bike rider lost his life when his two-wheeler was hit by a lorry at Padil on August 4, Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Prajwal D’Souza. He hailed from Puttur and was working as a watchman in the city. Prajwal was on way to Nanthoor from Padil when tragedy struck. The impact of the collision was such that the lorry pulled him  several meters  away.

An 108 ambulance arrived quite late and by that time Prajwal had breathed his last. Later the body was shifted to Wenlock by a private ambulance after the 108 ambulance crew refused to   do so.

The driver of the lorry fled from the scene soon after the mishap.
