Bike rider dead, pillion rider critical in accident at Hosanagar

Kundapur, July 10, 2018: A bike rider lost his life while a young woman who was on the pillion has sustained serious injuries in an accident involving their bike and a bus at Mastikatte in Hosanagar taluk of Shivamogga district on Monday evening.

 

The deceased bike rider is Prasanna Shetty (26), a resident of Idur-Kunhidi near Kollur. The seriously injured woman is Arpitha Shetty (23). She has been admitted to Manipal hospital. The two were on way towards Udupi when the bus which was proceeding towards Tirupathi from Mastikatte rammed into their bike.

The injured Arpitha is a resident of Ajri  in Siddapur and had just completed her graduation from Bhandarkar’s College this year.
