Biggest single-day spike of 6,128 new Covid-19 cases and 83 fatalities in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jul 30, 2020: Karnataka on Thursday reported the biggest single-day spike of 6,128 new cases of Covid-19 and 83 related fatalities, taking the total number of infections to 1,18,632 and the death toll to 2,230, the health department said.

 

With Covid-19 cases in India going past 52,000 for the first time, the country’s tally crossed 15.89 lakh on Thursday. 775 fresh deaths were also reported taking India’s Covid-19 death toll to 34,968. The ICMR said that 18,190,382 tests have been conducted across the country so far with 4,46,642 conducted yesterday. On the other hand, India’s recoveries crossed the 10 lakh-mark with the recovery rate gradually improving.
