Bhatkal man with suspected terror links arrested at Mangalore International Airport

Mangaluru, Jan 11, 2015: A man from Bhatkal suspected to be having terror links has been arrested by the  Bengaluru police at the Mangalore International airport late night on January 10, Saturday. CCB cops of Mangaluru assisted in the operation.

 

The arrested man is Riyaz (32), a resident of Makhdum Colony of Bhatkal. He was appreheneded when he was  about to  board a Dubai bound flight of Jet Airways.

Though it is being said that the arrest was  in the backdrop of the recent Church Street blast  in Bengaluru, there is no confirmation as to  yet.

Riyaz has been taken to Bengaluru for interrogations. It may be mentioned here that the Bengaluru police have  already arrested three persons in connection with the blast.
