Bhatkal : Youth dies in bike accident

Bhatkal, Jan 19, 2015 : Twenty three year old Syed Raza lost his life  in a head-on collision between two bikes on the National Highway 66 near City Light Hotel on January 18, Sunday. Ironically, Raza was no more  on the eve of his sister’s wedding.

Raza was the son of Mohammad Saleem Syyed Hussaina.

Though a critically injured Raza was rushed to the AJ Hospital in Mangaluru after initial treatment at Bhatkal Government Hospital, he was taken back to Bhatkal after doctors  said he cannot be saved. He is learnt to have breathed his last at the Bhatkal Hospital.

Sources said  Raza remained on the road  for nearly half an hour   in a pool of blood with no help coming through. It is said that the rider of the other bike involved in the mishap was under the influence of alcohol. He is learnt to have fled the scene of the mishap.

The deceased Raza was working in Muscat and had returned hometown just a fortnight ago for his sister’s wedding.
