Bhatkal: 12 year-old meet watery grave at Tengingundi Beach

Bhatkal, Dec 25, 2016: One drowned other two were rescued  among three students who  had been to Tengingundi Beach on Decenber 24, Saturday .

Ratan Irappa Naik(12) only son of Irappa Naik is the deceased .  Nagendra Tipayya Naik, Puneet Kamlakar Moger are the two rescued. All three were students of Tengungundi Government school .

It is said that a Pooja program was held at Ratan Irappa Naik’s house and the other two friends were invited to attend the program. Soon after lunch all the three friends went to the beach where the incident took place.On hearing thrier scream for help  local fishermen rushed to the sea and rescued two boys Nagendra and Punit and were later rushed to Kundapur after giving the initial treatment at Bhatkal Government  hospital.

Reports say the search operation is going on to trace body of Ratan Irappa Naik. Case has been registered at Bhatkal police station.
